The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner An Eclipse Novella (Twilight Saga) Author :Stephenie Meyer

Summary:

Fans of The Twilight Saga will be enthralled by this riveting story of Bree Tanner, a character first introduced in Eclipse, and the darker side of the newborn vampire world she inhabits. In another irresistible combination of danger, mystery, and romance, Stephenie Meyer tells the devastating story of Bree and the newborn army as they prepare to close in on Bella Swan and the Cullen's, following their encounter to its unforgettable conclusion .

My Review:

When I first heard that Stephenie Meyer was releasing The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella, I was very excited!  Jasper’s back story about the new vampires was actually something I wanted to know more about, so the opportunity to explore that world in depth was very appealing and I know I was a little late reading this .

So who is Bree Tanner?  Bree is in the army of vampires under Riley and Victoria that move in to attack the Cullen's.  She appears briefly an appearance at the end Eclipse when she surrenders to Carlisle but then is later destroyed by the Volturi.  There are always two sides to every story, things that you should know about in order to really understand.   The story basically gives what it promises, Bree’s life once she becomes a newborn and her observation of fellow newborns.  You also learn about whom Bree was as a person before she was turned, which helps you understand the type of people Riley and Victoria pick to be part of their new vampire army.  It does an awesome job of showing how Riley and Victoria well mostly Victoria  can control and manipulate this group of wild newborns.

Now the relationship formed between Bree and Diego seems come on ‘too much too soon but I think it works cause as newborns they are scared and trying to hold onto anything normal they can remember from their human lives such as affection love etc, I truly felt Bree's torment as soon as she realized what really happened to Diego along with how she was feeling throughout the book her emotions leaped off the page at me .

My Final Thoughts:

Stephenie Meyer gives her readers a true gift and even reveals a few shocking moments.  I don’t want to give away those moments, because if you are a true Twilight fan you really should read the book AND you should make sure you  read it before watching Eclipse if you haven't yet.  It was thrilling  to read the final scenes, which were an exact mirror image of the Eclipse scenes, but from Bree’s POV.  All is can say is amazing , really, amazing.  I love surprises.  Not surprise endings, Please do yourself a favor and READ THIS.
